Early Signs of Cocaine Abuse From Someone Who Personally Knows???

I know nothing about cocaine. My boyfriend comes home from work and is extremley mean (yelling, cussing, throwing things) at me and my children. I know that a guy he works with does cocaine. He is been hanging out with him a lot lately. My question is when you come down are you mean.
I just dont know what is going on with him. He has no other symptoms like runny nose, red eyes, sniffling or anything like that, he is losing a little weight and hardly ever sleeps. He goes to bed at like 12:00 and has to be at work at 4:30. Like I said no other obvious signs, unless they dont appear until youve been using for a while. When you come off your coc high are you mean and irritable. How long does a coc high last? Im very confused at why he is treating us so bad, I thought it could be from coming dowm off a coc high, I have never done it so I dont know. If someone knows how people on coc are or some early signs could you please let me know, I’m at the end of my rope. Thanks a lot

I WOULD TRY TO TALK TO YOUR BF AND ASK HIM TO BE HONEST WITH YOU- COKE ISNT A GOOD THING!!!!!!!

It does like he’s doing something,my son had a problem with coke,and thank got he’s doing good now,but those are the sign’s,i knew when he was doing it because he would be very mean and irritable,never sleeping,staying awake for a couple of days straight,go to work ,after working a 12 hour shift than the beach then partying with his friends,our household was turned upside down because of all the arguments between my husband(his dad) and his sister and the arguments turned physical,it was a terrible time, but it sounds like he is doing coke,and when hes coming down he will get mean.try to help him,when he finally stops you will go through hell,but then you already are,good luck,be safe!

I am an addict. Clean 1yr today. violent mood swings are def a sign, not sleeping & weightloss also signs. Check the bank statements. He wont tell you, he will lie. I hid it from my husband & kids for 2 yrs. When I started having nose problems I would swallow smoke or needle. It is a very powerful drug. It can turn a preacher into a lieing theiving basket case. Best appraoch is let him know you are there for him. that you wont judge him, but you wont live with an addict. The mood swings are often the guilt we feel. Addicts know better we just cant stop without help. We cant stop until we are at bottom. Every bottom is different for everyone. You can help him hit his bottom by making it clear he moves out from his family if he wants to use. Do not bend from that. Catching him in the act or getting him to do a drug test are the only ways you will catch him if he isnt willing to tell you. A drug test has to be done no more than 2 days after use. Cocaine is flushed from the blood in 3 days. If he stops using he will sleep alot & eat like crazy. If he is staying awake night after night then it may mean he is using everyday.If he has a cell phone, check his numbers. Accidently walk in on him in Bathroom or where every you suspect he is using it. Good luck to you. My heart goes out. I put my family through hell.
