WASHINGTON – Thomas Ali Fields, a 40-year-old District man and former U.S. Postal Service employee, has been sentenced to 144 months in prison for the distribution and possession with the intent to distribute 186 grams of crack cocaine, Acting U.S. Attorney Channing D. Phillips announced today. Fields was sentenced today in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia before the Honorable Paul L. Friedman. On March 12, 2009, a jury convicted the defendant of one count of the Unlawful Distribution of 50 Grams or More of Cocaine Base, and one count of the Unlawful Possession with Intent to Distribute 50 Grams or More of Cocaine Base.

Three Men Sentenced to Federal Prison for Trafficking Heroin
Nora R. Dannehy, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, today announced that three men involved in a Bridgeport-based narcotics trafficking ring have been sentenced to federal prison.
The charges stem from “Operation G-Force,” a joint law enforcement investigation into Bridgeport-area narcotics trafficking headed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Safe Streets Task Force.The year-long investigation, which led to the indictment of more than 40 individuals, included the use of court-authorized wiretaps; controlled purchases of cocaine, crack, and heroin; and physical surveillance.
The investigation revealed that Malcolm White, also known as “Malc” and “X,” distributed heroin and crack cocaine out of the Marina Village housing complex in Bridgeport.
Today, WILBURT JORDAN, 41, of Bridgeport, was sentenced by Chief United States District Judge Alvin W. Thompson in Hartford to 110 months of imprisonment, followed by four years of supervised release.The investigation revealed that JORDAN supplied White with heroin, which he distributed to others.

LAFAYETTE, LA—Thirteen defendants were indicted on drug trafficking and felony firearms charges related to the organized distribution of powder and crack cocaine within Lafayette, Louisiana and the surrounding area, United States Attorney Donald W. Washington announced today. The investigation focused on activity within the Truman neighborhood area within Lafayette. The indictment is a result of a lengthy investigation conducted jointly by federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. Federal, state and local law enforcement agencies fanned out over the area on Tuesday morning and arrested ten of the defendants, all of whom appeared in U. S. District Court in Lafayette for an initial appearance Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. before Magistrate Judge C. Michael Hill. One of the defendants remains at large. A complete list of the defendants and the charges is attached.
