It could “help” in the sense that it works by some of the same mechanisms as prescription ADHD drugs. In the bigger picture, as a treatment option, it’s a disastrously poor idea. It is very short acting, very reinforcing and causes serious imbalances in brain neurotransmitters. The end result is escalating use, addiction, anxiety, depression etc. A lot of people with undiagnosed and untreated ADHD, and probably other conditions, do tend to self-medicate with stimulants like these, but it’s never a successful long-term strategy.
