Cocaine abuse leaves IRA prisoners with severe mental health problems – Irish Republican Army prisoners regularly held wild parties and gay orgies whilst locked up in The Maze prison in Northern Ireland during The Troubles. Alcohol and every type of illegal drug was smuggled into the jail and many IRA prisoners suffered mental health problems due to years of daily cocaine, cannabis and ecstasy consumption.
