If she is on Methadone treatment then she should be having regular drug screens which would show cocaine. If she has a script for the Adderall then the clinic may be aware of it and there would be nothing you can do. Unfortunately depending on the state you live in they probably don’t test for alcohol and if they did she would probably test zero on the breath test, etc because most get their meds early in the morning. If you suspect she doesn’t have a script for the Adderall (a medication like Ritalin for adults) or strongly suspect she is doing cocaine you could make an anonymous call to her methadone clinic. They will say they can’t even verify if she is a patient but give her name and the situation anyway. They should pull her in for a surprise urine screen which may help because if it is positive they don’t throw her out they will find out what is going on and increase her counseling, etc. which may be what she needs. Otherwise I would talk to her about your concerns. Telling her boss will just get her fired and will only increase any drug use so if you truly care try to help her. As far as S/S of overdose goes those are very different drugs.
People can overdose on stimulants, such as Adderall, amphetamines, and cocaine, with symptoms such as rapid heartbeat, muscle cramps, seizures, paranoia, psychosis, confusion, loss of control of movement, vomiting, lack of consciousness, and possibly cardiac arrest.
First aid in these cases involves staying with the person and helping them to remain calm. Move them to a quiet area, and where possible, apply a wet cloth to their neck or forehead. If unconscious, place them in the recovery position (on her left side with the mouth downward so that vomit or blood can drain) and call an ambulance.
People overdosing on depressants such as pain pills, methadone, alcohol, or benzodiazepines (some call these nerve pills like Valium or Xanax) may exhibit Signs of overdose such as — slow, infrequent or shallow breathing, blue lips or fingernails, cold or pale skin, slow or faint pulse, snoring or gurgling noises, and the inability to be aroused from nodding off (unresponsiveness).
First aid in these cases involves
* The first step is to stay calm and try to get a response from the person by pinching the back of their arm, calling their name, or rubbing your knuckles against their chest.
* If there is no response, check to make sure their airway is not blocked and see if they are breathing.
* If insufficient breathing or a weak or non-existent pulse, commence CPR methods.
If breathing and a pulse is noted, roll the person on his/her left side into the recovery position.
* Call an ambulance. Ideally, someone should call an ambulance immediately while another person evaluates the patient and performs CPR if necessary.
