Knee Bending Cracking Problem?

Whenever I move with my legs sometimes like once a day or twice my knee feels like I have to bend it and when I do it makes a little crack what’s wrong? I hear if I drink glucosomine( I can’t spell it right) it goes away? I don’t exercise a lot if that has to do anything with it.
how does it go away?
Some days my knee feels like that and I have to crack it more than 4 times.

sometimes bones just crack. When i walk sometimes my ankles crack, and i run track. its not really a problem if your knees crack and it doesn’t hurt. but if you feel pain then i would goask the doctor about it.

Cracking sounds of our knee is also called crepitations which signify wear and tear of our knee cartilages. Sometimes, it’s loud enough to cause embarrassment. The cartilages provide smooth gliding of our joints and if it has worn out from overuse/abuse, it may not be as smooth as before and produces the cracking sounds.

It is usual in people who have lost their proper muscle tones in their quadriceps (the muscle of our thighs at the front) and if it laxed/weak, the knee joint is placed in more strain and harder to achieve proper function. Also, some people tend to have little than normal amount of fluid in the joint that allows the smooth gliding.

Regarding drinking glucosamine supplements, there is still no controlled study that proves that it works. It is based on theoretical ideas. It may or may not help but it’s still worth a try. Some people who suffer severe arthritis, they pull out the fluid from the inflamed knee joint and inject the liquid form of glucosamine. But this has to be done indefinitely because the glucosamine is reabsorbed.

First thing must be done is to tone up your quadriceps. Sit on a chair (with a height that allows you to dangle your feet). Then slowly pull both your legs up and slowly bring it down. Do this 5 times a day, 20 repetitions each time (or more). It will tone up your quadriceps (and your abs =) It will tone up the muscle that supports your knees.
