Recovering Cocaine Addicts: Nightmare of a Cocaine Addict

When someone starts using cocaine they often do it for the thrill. Not knowing the consequences of the nightmare which comes later. The desire to get high, but knowing it will mess up your life if you get caught. The brain crying for another high, and simultaneously telling you that you need to get higher than before.

Usually at the on-slot of using cocaine there are as many reasons for trying it, as there are those who use it. Even those who just play around with it infrequently will start to feel the addiction nightmare at some point in time if they continue. They feel they are in control and immune as long as they can fight the desire. Even those who use just on the weekends will start to feel a desire during the week and have to quench the feeling. At that time it, is just starting.

The constant desire for more, with the knowledge that it will eventually mess up your life including lifestyle, relationships and health just begins the nightmare. Later the effects start to work on your health as the desire to use more, to try to get higher, causes you to do just that. The more cocaine you put in your system, the more harmful the effects.

You will begin to see the health effects like weight loss, lack of sleep, dehydration and even diarrhea. Cocaine use causes a spike in blood pressure and constriction of the blood vessels, Think what these effects have on the brain as the vessels shrink and the pressure spikes, sure it will produce a buzz but how many blood cells will it kill at the same time?

The nightmare progresses as you endure the ups and downs, the highs and the crashes, wondering how to get away with the next high without getting caught. Wondering what it will do to your relationship with family and friends. Wondering what it will do to your health. Your life becomes a whirl of fear and desire both at the same time. You wonder how to stop the desires and the crashes. You realize that the cocaine, even though it feels good while you are high, causes the crashes. You wonder how to get off!

The good thing is, there is a multitude of people who have been at this same point and have overcome cocaine addiction. And who are not recovering cocaine addicts, but who are ex-cocaine users. Begin to look around, do you know any old cocaine users who are still alive? They either have gotten smart and got off, or they have gone past the point of no return, and have continued to use and died!

There are a multitude of places and people who are willing to listen and to help you through the process of getting off a cocaine habit.
