I’ve had severe lower and upper back pain for about 6 months. I went to the doctor about it 5 months ago, he gave me flexerol and sent me to physical therapy. The physical therapy made me feel worse, leaving me screaming in pain every time I moved following the appointment. At almost every appointment, I would have a rotated vertebra in my lower back and the therapist would have to put it back into place. Recently, I was on garbage duty at work and when I lifted the garbages into the dumpster, I had a severe pain in my upper back, neck, and shoulders, and there was a popping noise. The pain made me drop to my knees and scream in pain. I went immediately to the closest urgent care facility. When the doctor examined my back, he lightly tapped on each vertebra, when he tapped the one, the pain was so severe that I was brought to tears and screamed. The doctor did an x-ray and found that one of my upper vertebra is significantly smaller than the one above it and below it. He said that it was the cause of my pain. I was given a prescription for flexerol, tramadol, and methylprednisolone. I still have severe pain and a constant headache, I feel weak all over and can’t sleep. Is there any kind of surgery or treatment that can resolve this pain permanently?
